London - I love it! My first impression of London was the fact that many of the buildings were white... and the city was so clean! You must visit London and experience all that this wonderful city has to offer. We give you the option of booking just a hotel or London vacation packages, customized to your taste and pocketbook.
London sightseeing includes, tea in the afternoons, the fog, the Underground, the shops and the elegant hotels. London is just so civilized as they say. At least most of the time. On our very first trip to London, we went to a pub, my mate went up to the bar in the center of the room to get some brews. In the meantime, some chap comes sliding into the booth along side and says " 'ello love". I tried to tell him I was with someone, but he was having none of that. When my husband came back with beers in hand, the chap looked up and said " 'ello govenor, would you like to join us?". My husband was speechless!
Being as old as it is, there are many London tourist attractions. Many historical, some chilling like "The Tower of London". London museums are great on a foggy day! London theaters are long known for their musicals and comic farces.
You'll never run out of things to do in London. Piccadilly Circus, Soho, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Number 10, Downing Street. Watch the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace.
London hotels are scattered about, just as in any major city, but the Underground makes it easy to get around and, it's also fun to catch the big red, double-decker london buses. Get off at Liberty of London, walk across the road to Burberry and buy one of their wonderful umbrellas. Go to Harrods, or to Fortnum and Mason to the food hall.
Covent Garden is filled with wonderful wares to buy. Like a giant flea market.
Read about the "Royals" in practically every magazine. See the Crown Jewels, they are awesome! Windsor Castle. Get thee to the Tower of London, a beefeater guard pictured at right! Go see a wonderful farce...nothing is more fun that the English theater. Even when we lived in New York with all the Broadway plays, a wonderful treat was to fly off to London for a week of theater. How many times can you see "The Mousetrap". It's the longest running of any play anywhere. Don't miss dinner with hand carved roast beef dinners, with the beef being rolled out on those wonderful big old silver trays.
If you’re into shopping London, there's no better place to stay than The Westbury Mayfair Hotel. Sitting amidst the splendor of the Mayfair district, find Bond Street, Savile Row, Sotheby’s and famous shops like Burberry, Versace, Armani, Ralph Lauren, and Donna Karan... And if you prize some antiques - get up really early
and go to the London markets, my personal favorite is Bermondsey. You'll find all the Staffordshire your heart can desire!
So many things to do in London, our London Hotel discounts will thrill you as much as all the sights to see!
For the ultimate in luxury, you might want to try The Landmark London Hotel, Impressive Victorian building recently transformed to its original grandeur of 1899 with the addition of a magnificent atrium and state of the art facilities. Centrally located in London's West End, ideal for shopping and the theater.
Another well-known luxury London hotel would be The Savoy. Enjoy High Tea every afternoon from 3:00 to 5:30, along with piano music. Great location for the theater, Covent Garden, and the opera. It's been totally renovated and a true delight.
Pictured at left is one of our "hot deals hotels" (it's also a perfect example of all the "white" buildings I spoke of above. The Park International is located in Kensington and a good inexpensive London hotel.
For an inexpensive central London hotel, our first choice would be the Thistle Selfridge every convenience and affordable.
Marriott London Marble Arch makes a great place to stay if you want to be in the Hyde Park area without spending a fortune.
Another favorite of ours Berner's is in the West End. Our budget hotels london pick! This is a reasonably priced hotel and it gets 4 stars on our system.

Anna Maria, the Duchess of Bedford Woburn started the custom of tea in the afternoon in the1840's. Afternoon Tea is usually served between 3:00 and 5:30. Other great spots for Afternoon Tea, The Thames Foyer in The Savoy Hotel, 3:00 - 5:30, Palm Court at the Ritz, very, very fancy. Our favorite small hotel London, for 25 years, now Four Seasons, then "Inn on the Park". A high standard business hotel, attractive in decor and spacious rooms. There are Park Suites that overlook Hyde Park and you can't get much better than that for a view. There is a small health club and reasonably priced restaurant. Situated in the heart of London's West End. Close to the city's theaters, finest shopping areas and the business centers. Our pick for a small hotel. 183 Rooms and 37 Suites (some with terraces).

London Transport and City Facts
(Remember when booking your flight, there are two major london airports. Getting from the airport to town is always a serious consideration, based on time and convenience.
Heathrow (16 miles, 26 kilometers west of central London) From each of Heathrow's terminals the easiest and cheapest way to get into London is to catch the Underground also known as the 'Tube'. Trains run frequently, with a journey time of roughly 50 to 60 minutes with a cost that is less than £5. There is also the new "Heathrow Express" train which runs to Paddington station in just 15 minutes, every 15 minutes. The cost is 10 GBP and Paddington station is centrally located in London with good rail connections to the rest of the country as well as other parts of London. For the major airlines there are now check-in facilities for flights leaving London Heathrow. Taxis into London will cost anywhere between 25 GBP to 40 GBP, available from ranks in front of the terminal buildings. You need to be aware of the morning and evening rush hours which can slow down any taxi considerably and thus increase the cost. If you have any trouble with transportation, ask at one of the help desks signposted throughout the airport, they have all the information you will need at their finger tips.
Gatwick (35 miles, 56 kilometres south of central London) There is an express train service from Gatwick airport to Victoria station that runs every 15 minutes, and costs 9.50 GBP standard single, or 15 GBP first class single. This service takes approximately 30 minutes. There are also non-express trains that take marginally longer, but cost slightly less at 7.5 GBP standard fare and 11.30 GBP first class. Depending upon the time of day this service can take anywhere between 30 to 45 minutes. There are a large number of different bus services that run into central London, which leave Gatwick's central coach station in the south terminal. It is not advisable to catch taxis from Gatwick as the distance is too great.
